Why on earth would Walter Smith, Jim McColl and Douglas Park hand £6m plus to Charles Green and his Sevco consortium.
Smith et al have as much right to form a 'newco' Rangers as Charles Green and, with the fans' support, should do exactly that. Granted that Sevco apparently have the keys to Ibrox, Murray Park and the Albion car park but have the title deeds really been transferred to this consortium? Do they not form part of a standard security, presumably in favour of Craig Whyte? Even if said deeds have been transferred to Sevco, what use are these assets without a football team?
