Josh Davey, the Aberdeen-born all-rounder, will miss the Saltires' final CB40 match of the season after turning out for Middlesex in the same competition, writes William Dick. Contracted to the county, he had been on loan to the Saltires throughout the campaign but he scored 52 not out, his highest score of the season, and took two wickets in Middlesex's tied match against with Worcestershire. Competition rules mean he cannot now play in the Saltires' game against Somerset on August 19.
