Maldonado was brought before race stewards for the third time in four races after Sunday's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

In the European Grand Prix in Valencia a fortnight ago Maldonado sent McLaren's Lewis Hamilton into a barrier in the penultimate lap as they battled for third place.
