While the rest of Scotland's sextet of Olympic swimmers were in London picking up their official kit yesterday, Hannah Miley was in Edinburgh putting the final touches to her competitive preparations for London 2012 at the Scottish Gas National Championships.

The 22-year-old from Garioch, who has a realistic chance of being the first Briton to pick up an Olympic medal when she contests the 400 metres individual medley on the first full day of competition, won the 400m IM yesterday in 4:40.17 and the 200m freestyle in 1:59.23m and was delighted with both times.
