IT'S encouraging in its own way that, despite Scotland claiming their second successive win and proving that Tim Visser is every bit as lethal a finisher at international level as he is at his club, the over-riding emotion among the players after beating Fiji was irritation.
Yes, they gained an impressive victory in difficult conditions, their second in succession, but they had put themselves in a position to win emphatically, and blew it. Instead of cruising to victory they found themselves facing a crisis 12 minutes from time, when Fiji fought back to within two points.
