With just two rounds of the competition remaining, Jed-Forest remain on course to win their first ever Kings of the Sevens title despite a couple of setbacks at the weekend at the Kelso and Earlston tournaments, writes Alan Lorimer.
On Saturday, Jed were outgunned in the final by an inspired Watsonians team that had a sublime playmaker in stand-off Mike Ker and an aggressive ball-winning forward and skilful handler in Mark Rennie, whose experience of playing professional rugby in France, was key to the Myresiders' play.
