Kyle Traynor, Edinburgh's Scotland prop, has signed for Bristol.
The West Country team have identified Traynor as the type of front-row man they need to boost their quest to return to the top flight.
He will link up with another former Scotland prop, Bruce Douglas, who has made the switch from Worcester along with the Scotland-qualified centre Bryan Rennie, who has moved from Exeter.
