ANDY MURRAY believes an Olympic gold medal would compensate for the disappointment of losing the Wimbledon men's final.
The 25-year-old Scot heads back to the All England Club later this month to play in the singles and the doubles, with his brother Jamie, at London 2012. The world No.4, beaten in four sets by Roger Federer on Sunday, said he was sure a gold medal would compensate for coming up short in his fourth grand-slam final.
