Police are hunting a crossdressing flasher who exposed himself to a group of children.

The man, dressed in woman's clothes, walked up to four youngsters who were playing outside in the Borders town of Selkirk two weeks ago.

Police are determined to catch the culprit, who was described as being a white male, aged mid-30s, wearing a blue hooded coat and a skirt.

Inspector Tony Lake, of Lothian and Borders Police, said: "It was a bizarre incident and highly unusual."
