THE wife of Taggart actor Mark McManus died yesterday having lost a
long fight against cancer. Mrs Marion McManus, 40, died in Glasgow Royal
Infirmary after a 21-month battle against the disease. It was first
diagnosed in January 1992, and she underwent surgery and chemotherapy
but her condition worsened on Monday. The 58-year-old actor cancelled
the start of filming the 29th Taggart series because of her worsening
condition.
