THE widow of Scottish Enterprise secretary Brian Jamieson, above, who died days after having surgery at a private hospital, is taking legal action against his surgeon.

Mr Jamieson died at the age of 59 following an operation to remove a bowel tumour at Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow. His widow Linda, 66, is now pursuing action against surgeon Ian Finlay – who is listed as one of the best doctors in the world – and anaesthetist Dr Robin Duckworth.
