CIVIL servants at the Scottish Parliament and other government buildings could be among tens of thousands of worker staging snap 15-minute walkouts in a series of disputes over pay, jobs, pensions and conditions.
The Public and Commercial Services union (PCS) is urging it members, which include around 30,000 Scots workers, to take action on November 30 against plans to "rip up" working conditions in the civil service and related organisations.
Members north of the Border include workers at Holyrood, courts and tax offices, museums, galleries, job centres and driving examiners.
Lunchtime demonstrations will be co-ordinated at workplaces across the country in opposition to a UK Government review of all existing terms and conditions, including hours and holidays, and family-friendly policies such as flexible and part-time working.
It comes after Cabinet Office minister Francis Maude previously suggested that members could walk out for 15 minutes to get their point across without losing pay.
