ONE lucky ticket-holder has scooped the £136 million Euromillions jackpot.

It is unknown where the ticket was purchased, but if the winner is British the windfall will catapult them into 563rd in the Sunday Times Rich List and put them into third place in the National Lottery Rich List.

Eight UK ticket holders have scooped the Euromillions jackpot since it was launched in 2004, including Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs, Ayrshire, who won the biggest jackpot prize – £161.5m last year.

The jackpot can grow to a maximum of €190 million (£152 million).

The winning numbers were 11, 16, 21, 24, 29 and lucky stars 2 and 6.
