A FORMER financial adviser who duped women into sex by getting them to take part in fake adult movie auditions has been convicted of attacking and raping a mother-of-two.

Steven Dick, 35, got women to strip and carry out sex acts in the fake casting sessions before he carried out oral rape on the woman.

Dick was acquitted of a further charge, that he plotted to murder the rape victim, after the jury returned a not-guilty verdict.

The ex-bank worker filmed four women posing naked and performing sex acts after they turned up at his home in Burntisland, Fife, to try out for glamour model or porn actress roles.

The DVDs that Dick recorded were found after the rape victim went to police and said she was attacked by him at the address in February last year.

After calling at Dick's house, the woman was tied to a bed, beaten with a belt about 20 times and threatened, the High Court in Edinburgh heard.

The victim, who later fled to Scandinavia, told the jury she thought she was going to die.

Dick lured women to his home by posing as a photographer on websites and asking them to audition for a TV programme.

He placed adverts under an alias on a website claiming a casting organisation was seeking new actresses for adult entertainment films with £500-a-day available to talent who would mostly work in Edinburgh.

One model said she felt degraded after Dick asked her to perform a sex act on him when she thought she was auditioning for a role in a show he claimed to be making for Sky.

The beauty therapist, 23, thought she had a chance to make £10,000 but left after being asked to carry out the sex act at Dick's home in June 2010.

She told the court she felt scared, and had written to the TV production firm that apparently employed him to complain, describing Dick as a "big, fat pervert".

He admitted obtaining the film recordings by fraud and inducing women to perform sex acts by fraud in 2009, 2010 and last year.

The jurors found a charge that Dick and his brother Stuart, 26, of Thornhill, Stirlingshire, conspired to murder the rape victim not proven.

Stuart Dick, who only faced one charge, walked free. His brother Steven was placed on the sex offenders register and will be sentenced next month.
