A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 41-year-old mother in her home.

Kim Campbell was found dead at her house in New Elgin, Moray, earlier this month. Friends described her as a "wonderful mother, loving granny and great friend to many".

James Munro, 55, was arrested and charged with her murder.

He appeared in private on petition at Elgin Sheriff Court yesterday. He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination. He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again next week.
