l Pupil-teacher ratios in all state schools have remained static at 13.4.
In primary schools, the ratio increased slightly from 16 to 16.3.
l Three-quarters of probationer teachers are in permanent or temporary employment compared to 66% the previous year.
l Since 2007/08 a total of 403 schools have been substantially rebuilt or refurbished.
l The proportion of schools reported as being in good or satisfactory condition has increased from 61% in 2007 to 82%.
l The proportion of pupils educated in "poor" or "bad" condition schools has decreased from 37% in 2007 to 16% in 2012.
