CASES of a parasitic bug that causes stomach cramps and severe diarrhoea rose 60% this year.
Health Protection Scotland recorded 684 cases of cryptosporidiosis in the first 50 weeks of 2012, compared to 256 over the same period in 2011. Most cases are be linked to travel to Spain and Turkey.
