KAILUA: Taking a festive break from the struggle to avoid the "fiscal cliff" of tax hikes and spending cuts, President Barack Obama is relaxing with his family in Hawaii.
After Christmas, Mr Obama aims to strike a deal with lawmakers to avoid the economic shock from tax and spending measures set to take effect on January 1.
