A PASSENGER died and three others were injured when a former "boy racer" tried to show off his driving skills.
Stuart Cunningham, 42, got behind the wheel of a borrowed car drunk and did hand-brake turns before smashing into a tree.
He told police at the scene of the crash on the outskirts of Bathgate, West Lothian, he had been trying to relive his youth.

At the High Court in Edinburgh, Cunningham, of Falkirk, pled guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and failing to report an accident.
Raul Escribano, 25, suffered massive head injuries when the green Volkswagen Passat which Cunningham was driving overturned. Despite the efforts of medics he died at the scene on August 23.
Three other people were injured and Cunningham had superficial cuts. Almost two hours after the crash his alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.
Judge Lord Turnbull called for background reports before sentencing.
