BBC SCOTLAND sitcom Mrs Brown's Boys won the best situation comedy at the prestigious National Television Awards.
The show, created by and starring Irish writer and performer Brendan O'Carroll, is recorded at Pacific Quay in Glasgow.
It saw off competition from Absolutely Fabulous, Benidorm and The Big Bang Theory.
O'Carroll thanked fans of the show, which stars many of his real-life family including his wife, his sister and his daughter, and joked: "The only person that's not in the show is my mother and that's because she is dead."
However, the biggest shock of the night was Merlin star Colin Morgan's victory over Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch and Doctor Who's Matt Smith. Morgan, who played the wizard opposite King Arthur in the axed Saturday evening drama, won the best male drama performance prize at the event.
Sir David Attenborough's BBC natural history show Frozen Planet won best documentary series.
QI was voted the best comedy panel show, This Morning won best daytime programme, while Call The Midwife star Miranda Hart won best female drama performance. Strictly Come Dancing was best entertainment show.
