A MAN will stand trial over allegations he took part in a £1 million robbery from an Edinburgh jewellers.

Prosecution lawyers claim Elliot Jorgensen, 25, participated in a raid at the Rox shop in George Street last month.

Jorgensen was remanded in custody after he appeared for the second time in a week on a robbery charge at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. He made no plea or declaration.

Last week, Jorgensen, of Greater Manchester, appeared in court with Lincoln Warmington, 26, on the charge. Mr Warmington has since been released from custody.

A third man, Aldaire Warmington, 26, who appeared in court earlier this week in connection with the alleged robbery, will reappear for the second time next Tuesday.
