A mountaintop search resumed yesterday for an ex-policeman wanted in three California killings.

Authorities had interrupted the manhunt during the night as snowfall kept their helicopters grounded.

The hunt for former Los Angeles officer Christopher Dorner, 33, who has 'declared war' on law enforcement officers, has centred on the Big Bear Lake resort in the San Bernardino Mountains. His burning pick-up truck was discovered in the area on Thursday but authorities have acknowledged Dorner, a former Navy lieutenant, may have slipped away undetected.
