The seminal German electronic band Kraftwerk are to play T in the Park this year.
The influential group are to make their debut at the annual Scottish music festival, which is celebrating its 20th year.
The band are playing a series of acclaimed shows at the Tate Modern in London and will now perform at the Kinross event which runs from July 12 to 14.
As well as being a major influence on electronic and dance acts, with their albums Autobahn, Trans-Europe Express, and Radio-Activity among others, the band's live shows are known for their fusion of music, art and visuals.
Geoff Ellis, T in the Park's director, said: "Kraftwerk are a truly seminal band.
"Their revolutionary sound altered the face of contemporary music, and paved the way for so many artists across so many musical genres.
"Autobahn was the first album I ever acquired and I witnessed them perform it live in its entirety at the Tate Modern last Wednesday when I was in the audience for the first of their run of shows there.
"They were absolutely amazing and I was blown away – it really was a life-affirming night. They are a massively influential group and an incredible live act, and we are hugely excited to welcome Kraftwerk to T in the Park for the first time, in what will be a very special moment in our 20th year celebrations."
Organisers will unveil yet more top acts for the T in the Park bill next week.
Kraftwerk will join already announced headliners Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers, plus Emeli Sandé, The Script, Two Door Cinema Club , Paloma Faith and Jake Bugg.
