JOHANNESBURG: The respected anti-apartheid activist Mamphela Ramphele has resigned as chairwoman of Gold Fields, intensifying speculation she is about to launch a political party to challenge the ruling African National Congress.
The 65-year-old will make a statement on her political plans on Monday.
