SIX Scottish beaches have been named among the best in the UK by a leading travel review site.
Nairn beach, Luskentyre, on the Isle of Harris, Camusdarach Beach in Arisaig, Calgary Bay, on the Isle of Mull, Balmedie Beach in Aberdeen, and Kiloran Beach, on the Isle of Colonsay have all been listed in the top 20 UK beaches in the TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Beaches Awards.
Mike Cantlay, chairman of VisitScotland, said: "Scotland's beaches are among the most beautiful in the world and it is great news that independent TripAdvisor travellers have recognised this."
The best beach in the UK was named as Rhossili Bay in Swansea, while Rabbit Beach in Sicily was voted the best in the world.
