Scotland, seeking revenge for Saturday's narrow loss, slumped to 51 for six with all the wickets being taken by Naveed Saleem, the Blues paceman. Matt Machan, the Sussex batsman, sparked the recovery with a fighting half-century, while Moneeb Iqbal made 43. There was still work to be done at 132 for eight but Gordon Goudie's 21-ball 27 and an unbeaten 13 from Majid Haq hoisted the tally to 186.
Safyaan Sharif, making his first appearance of the tour, staked his claims for inclusion in next week's matches against Afghanistan with a blistering new-ball spell. He took three wickets and Yorkshire's Iain Wardlaw claimed two to reduce the hosts to 28 for five. Gordon Goudie and the captain, Gordon Drummond, kept up the pressure with one victim each before Davey blitzed the tail to complete an emphatic 117-run win.
The Saltires have a final warm-up match against the same opposition tomorrow before facing Afghanistan in all three formats of the game.
