A COUNCIL housing officer is to stand trial next week accused of sexually pestering women on his rounds.

Allan Whitelaw, 55, is alleged to have abused his position as a housing officer with Fife Council over a period of seven years, by walking into women's homes uninvited, making sexually suggestive comments, trying to steal kisses, and touching them on their legs and bottom. It is alleged he offered one woman money for sex.

Whitelaw, of Ladybank, Fife, who appeared at Cupar Sheriff Court on indictment yesterday denies four charges of breach of the peace and four of indecent assault. His trial is due to commence on Monday.
