St Mirren skipper Jim Goodwin will complete a two-match ban for striking Dundee United midfielder Stuart Armstrong with a forearm smash when he sits out Sunday's clash with Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic.

Midfielder Kenny McLean missed Thursday's defeat to Kilmarnock with a locked knee but may feature against the Hoops as the Buddies try to delay an operation as long as possible.

Gary Harkins is also unavailable after agreeing a six-month switch to English League One strugglers Oldham, but John McGinn should shake off a knee injury to start against Neil Lennon's side.

Gary Teale (hernia) and defender David Barron (ankle) are definitely out with long-term issues.

Provisional squad: Kello, Naismith, Mair, van Zanten, McAusland, McGregor, Kelly, McGinn, Newton, McGowan, McLean, Thompson, Grainger, Reilly, Campbell, Dilo, Brady and Cuddihy.
