The choice that Scots face in 2015 is now clear.

It is between a Labour Party that offers jobs to our young people, an end to the bedroom tax and a freeze on energy prices, and a Conservative Party where the poor, the young and the sick live a life on the edge.

George Osborne had to announce more cuts this week because his failure on growth and living standards has meant that he will fail to balance the books by 2015.

What we need to do is earn and grow our way to higher living standards, and reduce the benefits bill by getting people back to work with a jobs guarantee for our young people and the long-term unemployed. This is how Labour will get deficit down in a fair way - not by giving tax cuts to millionaires.

Scots are trapped between two governments with the wrong priorities. We don't need the SNP putting independence ahead of the people of Scotland and we don't need more of the Tories. We need Labour governments in the UK and Scottish Parliaments, focused on tackling the cost of living crisis and getting the deficit down in a fairer way.
