THE Tories have appointed a new Scottish Director of Strategy and Communications, the former political journalist Eddie Barnes.
The party says the 41-year-old will advise party leader Ruth Davidson MSP in the run-up to the European elections, the referendum and beyond. She said: "We are building a new offering for the centre right in Scotland."
