POLICE rushed to Celtic star Kris Commons' home today - to find the alarm that summon-ed them was set off by his children.

A full-scale response was sparked and officers raced to the 30-year-old's plush house near Glasgow.

Footie ace Commons shares the home with partner Lisa Hague and their children, April, William, and baby Jax.

Lisa said she made April, 5, and William, 2, apologise to the officers who responded to the alarm.

The footballer said on Twitter: "Nothing quite like your kids accidentally setting the alarm off and half of Glasgow's police turning up on your front lawn.

"Made April and Wills go down and say sorry to the police."

In November, the Celtic star had two luxury cars stolen from outside his house.

His home was targeted in the early hours of the morning, when thieves took keys from inside the house before making off with the cars. The midfielder got his prized cars back last month.

A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed that they were called to the address at 5.59am today.
