A NURSE has been suspended after he was arrested on suspicion of downloading child porn.
Christopher Anstey, 39, from Partick, Glasgow, was arrested in a raid on November 21 last year. He was suspended by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde two days later.
An interim suspension order of 18 months was also imposed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
Mr Anstey appeared in private on petition at Glasgow Sheriff Courton November 22. He made no plea or declaration to the charges. A further court date has not yet been set.
He was bailed on condition that he does not have any unsupervised contact with children.
The NMC said: "The allegations are serious, involving the downloading of pornographic material involving children."
