Heavy snowfall at a Scottish mountain resort may have delighted skiers.

But for staff at Glencoe Mountain Resort, the wintry weather has proven to be a challenge as parts of the popular spot has been left buried under snow.

Staff have been posting on Facebook pictures of the heavy snowfall which has completely covered areas including the resort's ski patrol shed and tows over the last few days.

The area has welcomed consistent snowfall for the last six weeks.

It is claimed that the snowfall has surpassed the weather experienced in 2009 to 2010, which was one of Scotland's best ski seasons.
