Tigtag, which will be available on schools' intranet site Glow, provides teachers with more than 600 short films, lesson plans and support materials for science topics.
Professor Martin Hendry, Head of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Glasgow, said: "The innate curiosity and willingness to experiment makes primary school pupils natural scientists."
