POLICE investigating the murder of a lottery winner have said they are exploring "several lines of inquiry".

Angus McKechnie, known as Ryan, is believed to have been stabbed to death at his home in Bannockburn, Stirling. The 31-year-old's body was found when police broke down his door on Tuesday morning. Neighbours said Mr McKechnie had won thousands of pounds last year on the Irish Lottery, but was battling drug addiction.

On Facebook, friend of the family, Maryjayne Boles, said: "I hope they get whoever did it." Mr McKechnie's partner, Anne Marie Rooney, is believed to have died four years ago. The couple had three children.
