A former adviser to Nick Clegg has been nominated as the LibDem candidate to try to succeed Sir Malcolm Bruce, the north-east of Scotland's longest serving MP.
Christine Jardine will stand in the Gordon constituency in next year's Westminster elections after Sir Malcolm announced he will stand down next year.
