FORMER Scottish football stars thrilled fans at a special charity match in aid of the families of the 10 people who died in the Clutha helicopter tragedy.
Big names including Rangers striker John MacDonald and Celtic's Frank McAvennie lined up for the Celtic vs Rangers Old Firm Legends Game at Ashfield Stadium in Possilpark.
Celtic won the match 5-4 in front of a packed crowd yesterday.
The match was organised by Ashfield Juniors in aid of Glasgow City Council's Clutha Appeal Fund for the families of the 10 people who died when a police helicopter crashed through the roof of the packed pub in November.
Among the footballing stars who donned their boots for the occasion were ex-Rangers and Scotland goalkeeper Andy Goram, former Hearts and Hamilton player Jose Quitongo, who manages junior side Muirkirk and ex-Rangers midfielder Charlie Miller.
Fans paid £6 and concessions £3 for the privilege of watching the celebrity guests in action.
The charity football match was the latest in a string of events held across the city to help people affected by the police helicopter crash into the Clutha Bar in November last year.
Other fundraising events have included all-day music concerts, comedy nights and a CD called The Clutha Sessions featuring Esperanza, the ska band that was playing at the pub on the night of the tragedy.
Meanwhile, £1000 was raised for the Clutha appeal from an all-day charity gig held in Glasgow on Saturday.
