SPAIN'S Princess Cristina has pleaded ignorance to allegations that her husband, Inaki Urdangarin, stole hundreds of thousands of pounds of public money.

She yesterday faced questions from a judge investigating Urdangarin, who is facing preliminary charges of tax fraud and money laundering linked to his use of income from a shell company the couple owned.

Manuel Delgado, a lawyer for one of the two civil groups bringing charges against the princess, said: "Most of her answers have been, 'I don't know', 'I don't remember' and 'I fully trusted my husband'."
