An attack on a man after he left a pub showing the Scotland v England rugby match was racially motivated, police have said.
The 41-year-old Englishman had been watching the Calcutta cup match in McQ's pub in Bannockburn yesterday. He left between 6.30pm and 7pm and was walking on a path near Murrayfield Free Church when he was attacked and racially abused by a man.
The victim did not see his attacker and has been unable to provide police with a description.
