FEWER than 1% of pensioners say that improvements being rolled out to the energy market will bring greater trust in the big gas and electricity companies.
A survey by Age UK found that few over-60s have any faith that the Retail Market Review (RMR) launched by Ofgem will lead to better relations with energy providers.
The RMR began in 2010 and is due to be implemented in 50 days, with reforms forcing suppliers to inform consumers of their cheapest tariffs.

Age UK said many people are still unaware of the changes it will bring and that confidence in energy companies remains low.
Gordon Morris, Managing Director of Age UK Enterprises, said: "There is more work to be done to ensure older consumers are made aware of the changes that lie ahead."
