A LABOUR MP who chairs a group battling to save Hearts has spoken of his delight in supporting leading Scottish businesswoman Ann Budge's move into the Tynecastle boardroom.

The IT guru is poised to become the football club's executive chairwoman after her company, BIDCO, offered a £2.5 million rescue package to see Hearts exit administration.

Edinburgh South MP Ian Murray, who chairs the Foundation of Hearts, said: "Ann brings a wealth of experience, and a total belief in the values of supporter ownership through the Foundation of Hearts."

He reminded fans to sign up to repay the loan.
