BT is to create dozens of apprenticeship and graduate jobs in Scotland.

The company is expected to create more than 60 jobs across the country.

Locations where the new recruits are expected to be based include Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

BT Scotland director Brendan Dick said: "This latest recruitment is great news for Scotland.

"It is another example of BT's commitment as one of the country's largest private-sector employers.

BT also announced its commitment to the UK employer-led initiative Movement to Work, aimed at tackling youth unemployment, by pledging to provide up to 1,500 vocational training and work experience placements for youngsters over the next 18 months.

The company is searching the UK for 300 top scienceand business graduates who want to build their careers in the IT and telecom sector.
