TWO Scottish mothers are to attempt to sell their business plan for a teething product for babies on the BBC's Dragons' Den.

The Neckerchew was created by Julie Wilson, of Edinburgh, and Amy Livingstone, of Roslin, Midlothian, and is the subject of scrutiny from the TV panel of wealthy investors.

The idea combines the concept of a dribble bib with a teether attached, so it can't be dropped on the ground.

The duo are directors of Cheeky Chompers, which has sold more than 27,000 Neckerchews now stocked by outlets including Waitrose, Jojo Maman Bebe, Bentalls and Kiddicare since launching last February.

The company originally aimed to sell 10,000 in the first year, which was then revised to up 23,000.
