SCOTLAND'S newest entertainment complex has won an award for commercial and regeneration projects in towns and cities.
The SSE Hydro scooped the Architectural Excellence Award (Public building) at the inaugural Scottish Property Awards.
The Dundee Waterfront, the Commonwealth Games Athletes' Village and Advocates Close in Edinburgh were other high-profile winners of the awards.
Fifteen awards were presented including the ultimate award of the night, Scottish Property Company of the Year, won by Ediston Real Estate for its work in UK property investment, development and asset management.
But it was the coordinated effort to create public facilities via private enterprise that found the most success, with projects in Kilmarnock, Maryhill, Glenrothes, Irvine and Lasswade all receiving awards from an industry judging panel.
Dundee received a Judges Award of Merit for the Dundee Waterfront and an award for Outstanding Individual Achievement, for Mike Galloway, the director of City Development.
In Aberdeen, Highly Commendeds were given to the team behind the new town Chapelton of Elsick, and to Prime Four Business Park for Commercial Development. Winchburgh Village in West Lothian got an award for Excellence in Masterplanning.
