KEY landmarks in the Highland capital will be illuminated in blue and red to mark Inverness Caledonian Thistle's achievement in reaching their first major cup final.

The team face Aberdeen at Celtic Park on March 16 in the Scottish League Cup Final.

From Monday until the day after the final, floodlights shining on Inverness Castle, Cathedral and Town House will be blue; and those illuminating Ness Bridge will be blue and red, the club's official colours.

The landmarks will also be displaying the colours of two charities during March.

The Ness Bridge will be lit pink from Friday and through this weekend in recognition of Cancer Research and the launch on Sunday of the Inverness Race for Life. For the rest of the month, the landmarks will be yellow to recognise Marie Curie Cancer Care.
