A TEENAGE girl who sparked an international manhunt when she was abducted by her Scots teacher is said to have fallen in love with another man.

The 16-year-old, whose former teacher Jeremy Forrest is serving five-and-a-half years in jail after the pair travelled to France together when she was just 15, is apparently in a relationship with a 20-year-old PE teaching assistant at a different school.

The girl's mother is said to have given her blessing to the relationship. She was reported as saying: "He is really nice and we have welcomed him into our family. I am very happy for our daughter."

The girl spent a week in France with Forrest, who is originally from Inverurie, before he was arrested. He had begun a relationship with her while teaching at her school in East Sussex.
