A PETITE mother-of-one murdered a neighbour in a sustained and brutal attack.

Danielle Watson's victim Edward Bennett, 49, suffered horrific wounds to his head, neck, chest and abdomen.

The 29-year-old told police: "I know I am a violent person, but I didn't think I was capable of being this violent."

Watson, who is under 5ft, faces a life sentence and Judge Lord Turnbull will decide next month how long she must spend behind bars.

Mr Bennett suffered bleeding on the brain, 18 rib fractures and broken neck bones. Watson also stamped on him, strangled him with a scarf and pushed two scouring pads down his throat.

At the High Court in Glasgow yesterday, Watson admitted murdering the father-of-four at her home in Helenvale Street, Glasgow, on November 6 or 7 last year.

The court heard she told her parents she strangled him "because he got fresh with me"..
