LEARNING disability charity Enable Scotland has produced its own tartan to celebrate its 60th anniversary.

The tartan yesterday arrived in Wemyss Bay by boat from the Isle of Bute, where it was produced, and was officially handed over to volunteer Joanna Doyle, who worked on the project.

The cloth features the charity's official colours and will be turned into scarves and ties to mark the diamond anniversary. Ms Doyle said: "It's a beautiful looking tartan and I'm sure our members will be proud to wear it."
