A FATHER who stabbed his son through the heart after a row over bacon rolls has been jailed for eight years.

John Lennox, 49, was found guilty at the High Court in Glasgow of assaulting his 16-year-old son Brendan at the family home in Dennistoun, Glasgow, on September 15, last year.

As Brendan's mother 37-year-old Davina Miller and neighbours rushed to help him as he bled profusely, his dad was calmly attempting to repair the television set which was damaged in the incident.

At the time of the attack Brendan was aged just 15.

Miss Miller and her son moved out of the family home after the incident.
