MOTHERWELL manager Stuart McCall is facing a battle to keep his driving licence after being caught speeding at 91mph.

The Fir Park boss, 49, was clocked driving over the limit in his Audi at Junction 13 of the M74.

The ex-Rangers and Scotland star faces a ban after admitting the offence as it will take him above the maximum level of penalty points.

McCall, of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire, did not appear personally at Lanark Justice of the Peace Court but a guilty plea was submitted on his behalf.

He was set to be handed a ban of at least six months, but his solicitor Kevin McCarron asked for an exceptional hardship hearing.

JP James Wilson agreed and set a hearing for May.
